If my life were an advertisement…

It would most definitely be an APPLE ad! (No, not the fruit, the company)

If I could afford everything apple, I would buy it. So far (within my budget), I’ve got a MacBook (Hoping to upgrade to the Pro soon), the latest iPod Classic, and and iPhone (still debating whether to upgrade to 3G or not…?) My speaker system isn’t apple, but it’s an iHome with a big apple sticker on it…. Ha ha!

I love Apple. It’s just as simple as that… In my eyes, it is the perfect company. It knows how to market its products without actually advertising much about them, and its secrecy drives everyone in the technology/news world, CRAZY (yes, from cnet.com to the New York Times)! I don’t think they can do anything wrong when it comes to making technology.

I read all Apple news daily. I look forward to anything they have to say! I can really talk about the rumors going around, who said what, etc. (lol) Yes, I think Apple has become an obsession to me… (you think? ) I even love their ads… I love their products, and I love how their products LOOK! (you can check them out at apple.com/store)

My thoughts on "De Taali"

First of all, I think this movie is complete time pass…. BUT, I would recommend watching it, it’s got a few good laughs

I also have to say that I now like Ritesh Deshmukh… His earlier movies never seemed to impress me, but I think he’s done the best job in this movie… so if you’re a fan of his, a definite must-see!

The other actors have also done an okay job, they all look great, and for once the story actually made some sense… (Coz usually these comedies make no sense at all!!) The songs are better than I’d hoped for, so definitely a thumbs up there!

The story line is decent.. again, a complete time pass movie so don’t expect the world from it.. It definitely deserves a taali :)

Overall, a 3 on 5.

Plenty of travel coming up!

So yay, the time to travel is finally coming up in the next few weeks.. so far, the plan is to go to DC, New jersey, New York (it’s on my way), Michigan aaaaaaaaand Chicago, IL. 5 cities in 3 weeks? YESSS!! I can’t wait

The plan so far is: NJ/DC/NYC just for a week.. and then head to michigan/chicago for the next 2 weeks.. since my birthday’s coming up, it all sounds super exciting (to me, anyway )

Anyhow, lets see how things roll.. I am hoping to do some shopping but these trips will definitely cost a bundle if not less, so it might not be possible ! (Boo hoo!)

New movies out this weekend – Definitely looking forward to Wanted and WallE ! I’ll do my best do see both if not one Ha ha!

5 days later…

2 Cities and many terrible toothaches later, I’m back!

Nothing’s happening these days… how BLAH is that! Who said life was like a Roller Coaster? It’s more like a couch – Sometimes you can just be in one place for so long it’s like you’re stuck or something….

Other than being bored out of my mind, I’m glad the heat is finally on us… It’s just amazing to sit around the pool and laze around in the heat… Ah, the good days. 

No good movies out this weekend either, so can’t even watch a movie ! The internets being at its slowest today, and my external hard drive failed on me the other day… So I don’t even have any movies to watch.. grrr…. 

Referring to my “many toothaches” from above, I have the worst teeth among almost all the people I know…

Come Monday, and I gotta get 3-4 fillings and atleast 1 root canal done. GREAT right? (sense the tone…)

Anyway, now that my rant is done, Im going to go waste my time doing something else…. Maybe sleep? Ah who knows.. lol.

I want STARBUCKS!!!!!!!!

This is going to be one of the most random posts ever… (mainly rants about something or the other!)

So I’m living in an area with no Starbucks…. don’t get me wrong, there is a Starbucks in the area, but the closest is 6 miles AWAY! BOOO!!! How is someone like me to get there with no car? Makes me wonder…. and I’m desperately craving a Java Chip Frap now!

Anyway… now that my Starbucks rant is over… I can get back to being normal. lol.

The weather has suddenly gotten EXTREMELY hot. Is this global warming or just how a normal summer is supposed to be?? (Worst part: the pool area is locked :/ and I don’t have an AC in the house… What now?!)

I’m just having one of those days when 15 million things are running through my head… Few things at the moment: The Sound of Music (the movie!), Apple news, dreaming of a new life with a great job in hand…. and so on. Ok I think I’m going to actually watch the sound of music after this… you know, just to get out of my head. 

Heres my wish for today: to have a reunion (this year!) with all my boarding school friends who I haven’t seen in like 7 years……..! Yes, thats my wish right now..

I’m still craving Starbucks…………… ugh, kill me now.

Ok, I’m going to watch the Sound of Music now. Need a distraction!

p.s… I forgot to mention, I watched The Incredible Hulk yesterday. Very cool. More about that later!

My thought on the Movies: Kung Fu Panda and Sex and the City

Kung Fu Panda:

So this is a movie for all of us in general… agreed, when it started with the whole fighting scenes I was a bit “blah” but by the end of the movie.. I couldn’t stop laughing! 

The movie is, obviously, about a Panda.. It also is though, about finding yourself, and discovering that there is no “secret” to being great. Really well done, and not too long, I think this movie can be watched by everyone who wants to have a good laugh or two!

Over all, I would give the movie a 4 out of 5.

Sex and the City: The Movie

Being a major Sex and the City series fan, this movie was loved by me, and everyone who came to watch it in the theatre on opening day! We all had our “ooh” and “aahh” moments, and I can say that for those who loved the show on HBO will most definitely love the movie…. There is a BUT though… 

The BUT comes here: Don’t watch it with your family. Older Mothers and Daughters are fine. but if you’re going to watch it with grandma or a very young sibling (including fathers and daughters…), definitely not a good idea! The movie does say Rated R, but so are so many other movies that we forget to even notice the ratings now. There are more than a few scenes in the movie which will make you cringe if you’re with a loved one who isn’t the open kind. Just a heads up!

Overall, I would give the movie a 4.5 out of 5.

As time changes, so do we!

2 days in and I already forgot to blog yesterday…….. Ha ha! No no, just kidding… Was a bit sick, and slept waaaaaaay too early, hence the no show!

Anyway! Concerning Apple and my last blog, I have changed my mind about the price cutting decision… and this is only because I have just found out that at&t is increasing its iPhone plan by another $10/month, COMPULSORY! So instead of paying a minimum of 59.99 now, it’ll become 69.99 next month! Sheesh.. talk about giving a heart attack on the sudden price cut! Apple is too smart..

Ok so Facebook happens to be the page I’m on every single awake moment, and for the first time in my life I;m getting BORED of it… Yes, thats right people, BORED! Seeing that it’s summer and most of my college friends are either home or enjoying the summer sun too much, you would think I’d be the same boat! Nah thats not my style… I’d rather sit home and get bored. lol.

I am now craving Starbucks’ Java Chip Frap… Oh dear Lord, help me! (Starbucks closes at 10… and it is now 10.30 pm )

And to end today’s blog… My blog doesn’t show when Ria Mehta is googled………. WHY! I am now upset! (Not really… but whatever. lol)
